The Companies Ordinance, 1981, as amended, is a modern piece of legislation which includes, in addition to provisions normally found in the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands, provisions for exempted companies with extended privileges and guarantees, stringent confidentiality requirements and regulation for the re-domicilation of companies from other jurisdictions to the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Provision is also made for companies to move their domicile out of the Turks & Caicos Islands to be continued elsewhere.
