Profile

Louise is a Turks and Caicos Islander and is the firm’s newest Partner. Louise graduated from Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2003 with a degree in Political Science. Louise then obtained her law degree in 2006 at the University of Bristol in Bristol, England, followed by the Legal Practice Course at University of the West of England, Bristol.

Following her time in England, Louise returned to the Turks and Caicos Islands and immediately commenced work at Miller Simons O’Sullivan as an Associate.  In October 2023, Louise became the firm’s first female Partner.

Louise was called to the Bar in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2008. In 2009, Louise was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.

Louise’s practice areas are diverse and include conveyancing, immigration, intellectual property, banking & finance and aviation.  Louise is well versed in residential and commercial conveyancing in the TCI, supporting businesses with various regulatory and licensing requirements, providing immigration services to businesses and individuals interested in relocating to the TCI.  Louise plays a large role in the intellectual property department of the firm, with a heavy focus on trademarks and patents. Louise has assisted both commercial and private lenders with loans and debt recovery for both individual and corporate borrowers. Louise also has extensive experience assisting various airlines with their flight operation in the TCI.

Louise is a member of the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Caribbean Association and the Law Society of England and Wales.  In addition, Louise previously acted as the Treasurer of the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar Association and as an ad-hoc member of the Labour Tribunal in the TCI.

In her free time, Louise enjoys giving back to the community. She is a former member of the Rotaract Club and she currently supports the TCI Aids Awareness Foundation. Louise also enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her family.
